From high atop the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College we bring you the Stranger Show. Today we continue our series featuring the less well-known towns of the United States. Today we ask the musical question: Why do our college days pass away so quickly? Only here at WUSR Scranton do we know the answer.
In 1866, Roberts Wesleyan College was founded by Benjamin Titus Roberts as the Chili Seminary. In 1885, the name was changed to Chesbrough Seminary, and again in 1945, it was renamed Roberts Junior College. It was finally in 1949 that the institute was given its present name. This Christian liberal arts college, often referred to as RWC, is located in North Chili, New York.
